DESCRIPTION:National Read a Book Day at Historic James Monroe Birthplace an
 d Boyhood Home\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nJoin us for a special community event at the 
 James Monroe Birthplace and Boyhood Home celebrating National\nRead a Book
  Day on September 6th from 11:00 AM–4:00 PM. This program is designed to
  celebrate\nliterature set locally and local authors.\n\nThe event will hi
 ghlight the rich talents grown in Virginia by showcasing authors\, storyte
 llers\, and\norganizations that promote reading\, writing\, and literary e
 ngagement. We hope to create a\nwelcoming\, family-friendly atmosphere tha
 t connects our community with the people and stories that\nshape it.\n\nAr
 e you a local author who'd like to participate? Reach out to Dr. Theresa S

 o participate in one or more of the following ways:\n• Hosting a table t
 o share information about your work\n• Featuring local authors for book 
 signings or readings\n• Leading a short interactive activity for childre
 n and families\n• Offering resources that encourage literacy and communi
 ty engagement\n\nThis event will be held outdoors on the historic grounds\
 , and we anticipate a strong turnout of\nfamilies and community members. T
