Ahoy, mateys! The 7th Annual Port Royal Pirate Festival returns to historic Port Royal, Virginia, on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 10 AM–6 PM. This FREE, family-friendly, historically inspired festival features professional pirate crews and reenactors, cannon firings, live music, the Great Pirate Parade, Best Dressed Pirate contests, children’s activities, mermaids, Story Time, food trucks, and 75+ vendors.
This year’s festival celebrates America’s 250th and Port Royal’s 282nd Birthday and includes a special presentation about Monsieur Peuman, the French pirate associated with Port Royal history and Peumansend Creek.
Come dressed as a pirate and join the crew for a full day of history, entertainment and family fun on the Rappahannock River!
